Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while cloudy weather is expected in upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir during the next twelve hours.

Karachi will experience dry weather with cool night in coming 24 hours. The humidity will remain between 60-70 % in the morning and 25-35 % in evening.

The minimum temperature in Karachi recorded 10.5 degree Celsius on Saturday, while maximum temperature is expected to remain between 25 – 27 ºCelsius.

Drizzling is expected at a few places in north east Punjab while fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab during morning/night hours.

Islamabad and Peshawar five degree centigrade, Lahore seven, Karachi twelve, Muzaffarabad one, Quetta and Gilgit minus one and Murree two degree centigrade.

Avalanches in Kashmir

A new spell of rain and heavy snowfall had entered Azaad Kashmir and activities to deal with the hazards of avalanches have been stopped last week.

This spell remains for some days in Azaad Kashmir, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Rescuers were working to help people handle the aftermaths of avalanches.

It should be remembered that avalanches in Kashmir had caused at least 100 deaths in the last 20 days.
