Prince Harry Meghan are going to New York to be nearer to UN headquarters
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle intend to buy a second house in the United States.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are preparing to rent out an apartment in New York to support Meghan’s philanthropy, according to the Daily Mail.
According to reports, the pair will live near the United Nations offices in Manhattan. Meghan and Harry met UN Deputy-Secretary-General Amina Mohammed in 2021, and the news comes after their meeting.
“In conversation with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” Amina shared in a tweet.
“Sharing how to engage on issues we care about deeply: climate action, women’s economic empowerment, mental wellbeing, youth engagement and vaccine equity.”
Meghan was also asked if she was enjoying her trip during her visit, to which she replied: “It’s wonderful to be back, thank you.”
Due to differences with the institution, Harry and Meghan resigned as senior royals and relocated to the United States. The couple currently resides in Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie and Lili.
