The Seorita singer took to Instagram stories a few hours ago to release a post in which she chastised people who promote “toxic positivity” and dismiss “anxious thoughts.”

Many psychologists have reportedly suggested that disregarding authentic, inner sensations can do more harm than help to one’s mental health.
Previously, in an interview with People, the Academy Award-winning singer discussed her struggle with “crippling anxiety” in the months following her two-year breakup with Shawn Mendes.
“Staying true to herself” was the only therapy that worked for her, according to the singer-songwriter.
Cabello’s third album, Familia, was released in the meantime, and it focused on “familiar themes of love and anxiety.”
