Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah says terrorists have no religion, ethnicity

KARACHI: A day after the Karachi Saddar blast that claimed one life and injured at least 10, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday said that teorrists involved in the merciless murders of innocents have no religion, or ethnic background.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Karachi Expo, the chief minister condemned the heinous terror attack. “Nearly a month back a terror strike was carried out at the Karachi University. Last night in a blast, one person was killed and ten injured.”

Those responsible call themselves Baloch and Sindhi organisations. In fact terrorists have no religion and ethnicity. Forget about being Muslim, terrorists does not even qualify to be called humans, he said.

“I warn terrorists that we will search, identify you and then will kill you,” the chief minister said.

Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Director Dr Shahid Rasool said the deceased and eight injured were brought to the JPMC by Edhi ambulance service for an autopsy and medical treatment respectively. He said most of them were hurt because of ball bearings of the bomb. The wounded were in critical condition, he maintained. A dozen vehicles were reportedly damaged in the blast. Rescue sources said the deceased has been identified as Umar. Condition of one of the injured, Shehroze, is reportedly highly critical.

Sindh Government Spokesperson and Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab confirmed the incident and said that investigation had been launched and soon the details would be made public.
