Ed Sheeran’s touching video message for a young cancer patient will warm your heart!
According to Tom Parker’s forthcoming biography, Ed Sheeran helped fund his private medical treatment throughout his brave battle with brain cancer.
Tom passed away in March of this year after being diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour in October of last year.
He was just 33 years old when he died, leaving behind his wife Kelsey and two children, Aurelia and Bodhi.
The chart-topping artist explains how the Bad Habits singer approached him shortly after his stage 4 glioblastoma diagnosis to see if he could help in any way, and ended up paying for his medical costs in his book Hope: My inspiring story, which will be formally launched later this month.

According to an excerpt acquired by The Sun from the book, “I’ve never publicly said this before (and he’ll probably be mad that I’m doing it now), but Ed is a very special man. He even helped out with my medical bills when I was seeking other treatment options and having private immunotherapy.”
“He didn’t need to do any of that, but my wife Kelsey and I are so grateful to him for his support. It meant the world,” added, “Overnight, my entire world turned upside down and I was forced to re-evaluate the value of life itself. I was absolutely petrified – I couldn’t stop thinking about death.”
When Ed died, he was one of the first to publicly express his sympathies. “So sad to hear of Tom’s demise,” he said at the time.
“Thoughts and love are with Kelsey, his children and family. Very sad day, what a lovely guy.”

Tom insisted on focusing on “living” and “finding hope” rather than “dying” when he broke the news of his new book only days before his death. “It’s a book about finding optimism in any scenario you’re handed, and living your best life no matter what,” he said on Instagram.
