By-elections are to commence on June 16 in the constituency of NA-240 in Karachi.

The elections are to be held after the demise of the former MNA of the Mutahhida Qoumi Movement Iqbal Muhammad Jan.
The constituency consists of the areas in Landhi and Korangi.

According to the Election Commission Focal Person, 203 out of 309 polling stations have been designated as “sensitive,” requiring the installation of CCTV cameras.

The Election Commission of Sindh advised Karachi Electric (KE) not to do load shedding in the prescribed areas for three days.

The Election Commission sent this advice to the Chief Executive of KE.

Election Commission also will implement CCTV cameras all over the polling booths of the constituency.

The Election Commission has set up 127 polling stations in Landhi and 182 in Korangi District.
