A lady has been left with possibly terrible wounds in the wake of being attacked by a canine in Lancaster.
The person in question, a cyclist in her 40s, was taken to an emergency clinic with genuine leg wounds after the creature remained locked on to her for a few minutes before she broke free.
Police were called at around 4.20 pm on 5 May by paramedics who were treating her for her injuries.
She was cycling with a companion on a cycle track behind the Priory Church, near the Millennium Bridge, on 5 May and needed to brake to stay away from a lady and kid, as indicated by police.
They were subsequently moved toward, a two brown by a man Staffordshire bull terrier or bullmastiff-type canines and blamed them for nearly thumping into his youngster.
Police said he slapped one of the canines on the head, making it nibble the casualty on the upper leg and remain connected to her for a few minutes before she broke free.

The lady, who is from Morecambe, was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary and has since been released.
Police are engaging for data, as they look to distinguish the canine walker.
He is portrayed as white, 5ft 9-10in, thin, with earthy colored short back and sides hair.

Police accept he is in his mid 30s and was not wearing a top.
PC Richard Hannaford, of Morecambe Police, said: “This occurrence has left the casualty with an intense physical issue.
“As a feature of our continuous requests, we really want to recognize and address the one who was strolling the canines. I would ask anyone who knows what his identity is – or the man himself – to contact the police straightaway.
“Likewise, I would ask any observers or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or cell phone film which could help our examination to if it’s not too much trouble, reach out.”
