Ross William Wild, a former member of Spandau Ballet, was arraigned in court yesterday on charges of rape and sexual abuse.
The 34-year-old is charged with using a camera to record himself abusing six separate ladies while they were fast asleep.
He is also accused of raping a seventh lady, extorting money from her, and showing her the complainant’s intimate sexual image.
Ross Davidson, the real-named Scotsman Wild, was charged with 17 offences between 2013 and 2018 and made an emotional court appearance under that identity yesterday.
He was taken into custody on Thursday at his parents’ Aberdeen residence after the CPS gave police permission to file charges against him earlier this week.
Wild entered the pier with two security personnel wearing a simple black T-shirt and had his black hair pulled to one side.
He sobbed as his attorney Chris Toms emphasised to the court that he was a professional musician.
Although there was no official admission of guilt, Mr. Toms stated that the rape claim was “firmly denied. He demands a court date.
Wild was kept in jail and ordered to show up in court on July 22 at London’s Wood Green crown court.
In 2019, the Met’s Specialist Crime command started looking into Wild and seized a phone that was allegedly filled with horrifying pictures of victims being abused while they slept.
It is reported that the police have not yet given their names to several of the women.
Between October 2013 and December 2017, four of the alleged sex attacks are believed to have occurred at Wild’s residence in Finchley, North London.
Another allegedly happened in June 2017 at a hotel near Shrewsbury.
The most recent incident is said to have happened at Cannes in May 2018, the same month that Wild joined 1980s pop icons Spandau Ballet and was there for the film festival.
Regarding these alleged offences, Wild is accused of voyeurism on six counts and sexual assault on six.
Further allegations against him include rape between August 1 and October 1 of 2013 and extortion against the same complainant in November 2017.
Wild is accused of intentionally upsetting the same woman in October 2017 by leaking a private sexual photo of her.
His possession of an extreme pornographic photograph depicting an extramarital sex act is his remaining charge.
After portraying Elvis Presley in the popular West End musical Million Dollar Quartet with Martin Kemp, Wild took over for Tony Hadley as the lead singer of Spandau Ballet in 2018.
