Google Play Store new tablet design has been revealed
Google has been dropping hints about upcoming Google Play Store tablets. Google has had many chances this year to give hints about the Pixel Tablet. The company is working on more than just the hardware to change Android’s interfaces for tablets and other flexible devices. One of the software parts of the strategy is making the Play Store work better on big screens.
Now that Google has shown us a few of the cool things that are coming to the app store for tablets, foldables, and Chromebooks, we have a good idea of what is going on.
This is an example of what Google calls a “content-forward strategy,” and it can be seen in the fact that the app’s description, photos, and videos are all readily accessible without ever leaving the Apps and Games homepages.
The company makes it clear that this change is only for looks and won’t have any effect on how well an app sells. Google’s screenshot also shows that there is a separate Kids area at the bottom of the left sidebar with Games, Apps, Books, and Offers.
ChromeOS users will soon be able to use Android apps thanks to upcoming improvements to the Play Store for tablets. Google has said that app developers will soon be able to use the Google Play Console to upload screenshots taken on Chromebooks.
Developers should use 16:9 screenshots with a maximum resolution of 1080 x 7690 pixels to get a sense of what future Chromebook screens will be able to show. You can share as many as eight screenshots.
