Burnley FC and NHS supports Lancashire health scheme
Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) and Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) have formed a partnership, in order to support each other’s efforts through health and wellness initiatives.
The alliance seeks to offer improved services, such as expanded access to physical activity, health checks, wellbeing initiatives, and help for making healthier lifestyle decisions, to service users and their families in East Lancashire.
Through community integration activities, the alliance also aims to lessen social isolation while enhancing BFCitC’s current offerings.
Michael Colquhoun, director of community projects at BFCitC, said: “We are really pleased to announce this partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust and this gives real credibility to our Health and Wellbeing work.”
Jane Munton-Davies, director of operations for Pennine Network at LSCFT, added: “We are delighted to be involved in this partnership with Burnley FC, enabling local services to reach out to our communities and improve opportunities to engage with vulnerable people, supporting and helping people to keep well at the heart of where they live.”
