Exclusive trailer for the upcoming thriller Disquiet from Paramount Pictures today. The plot, directed by Emmy contender Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Vikings, The Tudors), is around a man who wakes up in a hospital that is… different after a near-fatal car accident. The movie’s release date was also revealed, and we can now confirm that it will premiere on February 10th, along with the trailer.

Disquiet’s trailer is unnerving in many ways. First, it demonstrates that waking up in a hospital with no memory of how you got there is frightening enough – but that’s far from the end of the adventure.

As soon as Sam (Rhys Meyers) gets out of bed, he notices that he’s at a hospital that’s dark and mostly deserted, and that other wandering patients (or patient-looking creatures?) appear to be out to get him.

The teaser also reveals that Disquiet will be a fascinating experience that isn’t hesitant to challenge the viewer’s perception.

Starting with folks whose appearance is unlike anything we’ve seen before, which chills you to the bone. The trailer also includes characters who act strangely and others who can physically change who they are – or what they look like – in an instant.

It could also be an illusion. There are numerous questions that must be addressed. Getting out of the hospital should be a primary goal in any circumstance. Except that neither Sam nor his few newfound buddies can discover a way out.

There’s a lot to digest in the secrets of Disquiet, and it all comes from the imagination of Michael Winnick, who wrote the story and directed the film. Other horror and thriller stories written and directed by Winnick include Deuces, Shadow Puppets, Malicious, and Guns, Girls, and Gambling.

Aside from Rhys Meyers, Rachelle Goulding (Reginald the Vampire), Elyse Levesque (Stargate Universe), Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Garry Chalk (Cold Squad), Trezzo Mahoro (To All The Boys trilogy), Anita Brown (Tribal), and Bradley Stryker round out the cast of Disquiet (Devil in Ohio).

Disquiet begins off Rhys Myers’ busy year. The Vikings alumnus is due to appear in a number of films that will either premiere or begin filming in 2023, and he appears to have found a home in the horror/thriller genre.

Rhys Meyers appeared in a number of intriguing films in 2022, including Dangerous Game: Legacy Murders, Wifelike, and The Good Neighbor.

Disquiet will be released on February 10th.
