Netizens wowed: A man plays ancient Bollywood song on the piano

Many people showcase their talents on social media. If not, someone else might record them doing something and post it online. These videos become instantly popular. Recently, a musician playing the Bollywood song Tujhe Dekha To from the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was added to the list of such videos.

Instagram user Ravi Pathak posted this video. He challenged his followers to identify the pianist in the video by responding to the post’s caption. While some people recognized the area and knew who he was, others asked about him.

The man in the video is Newton, claims the YouTube account, Chandni Ahuja. In 1943, he was born in Madras. On his piano, he performs songs in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. In Delhi’s Dilli Haat, Newton is seated. He claims to have once had a music store in Greater Kailash.

He had to sell the store, though, in order to pay for his wife’s cancer treatment. He added that the fact that people in Dilli Hat buy his CDs and hire him for occasions has been very beneficial to him. Some even beg him to instruct their kids in music.

His Instagram video has received a lot of attention ever since it was posted there.
