Morne Morkel, a former South African fast-bowler, will join the New Zealand coaching staff for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.

“The women’s game is fast rising around the world, and this is a fantastic opportunity for me to gain experience in the women’s game and offer my understanding of international cricket to assist this squad improve,” Morkel said.

“I’ve been paying careful attention to the women’s game and the White Ferns over the last few years, especially after moving to Australia and witnessing their players who have participated in the Women’s Big Bash.”
