The Confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in the country climbed to 154,760 on Wednesday after Punjab and the federal capital Islamabad, recorded new cases.

According to the national dashboard, 2746 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Punjab recorded new 2361 while Islamabad confirmed 385 more cases in a single day.

The country’s death toll also climbed to 2,975 with Islamabad reporting seven new deaths. A total of 68 new deaths have also been reported in the province.

The national database for coronavirus shows that 452 more people have recovered in the past 24 hours in Pakistan. The total number of recoveries in the country stand at 58, 437.

Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.

Pakistan has so far conducted 950,782 coronavirus tests and 28,117 in last 24 hours.
