Nida Dar, an all-rounder, is the only player from Pakistan to be nominated to the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year (2022).

Based on their success in the game’s three sections, ICC decided which players to put in the team for the year.

The top T20I women’s team included four players from India, three from Australia, one each from New Zealand, Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka.

Sophie Devine of New Zealand has been selected the team’s captain.

Nida Dar of Pakistan had one of her greatest T20I seasons in 2022 with 15 wickets at an average of 18.33 and an economy rate of 5.50. Nida only failed to pick up a wicket in three of her fourteen T20I matches in 2022.

In the Women’s Asia Cup 2022, Dar had her best all-around performance against India, scoring 56* off 37 balls with the bat and taking 2-23 with the ball to clinch Player of the Match honours as Pakistan defeated India.

For her outstanding efforts the year prior, Nida was also a finalist for the ICC Women’s T20I Player of the Year award.
