This year, Warner Bros. is commemorating its 100th anniversary, and as part of the festivities, Superman, the company’s most well-known hero, will be remembered.
As a part of the celebrations, the business will soon release a new 4K collection of the five adored Christopher Reeve Superman movies, bringing a piece of DC history home in a single box. Superman 1978 – 1987 5-Film Collection, as it is officially known, will debut on April 18 digitally and on 4K Ultra HD Disc.
The collection uses HDR to give the movies a greater range of color than ever before. It remasters Superman: The Movie, Superman II, Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, Superman III, and Superman IV in one package for the first time.
A box with artwork depicting Superman’s crystalline Fortress of Solitude and the Man of Steel himself standing in the foreground surrounds each case that holds the discs.
The disks contain not only the remastered versions of each Superman movie but also TV advertisements, classic Superman cartoons, making-of documentaries, TV specials, theatrical trailers, and every deleted scene from the five films.
The Superman 1978 – 1987 5-Film Collection will be available for physical and digital purchasing from April 18 onwards costing only $99.99.
