The Ministry of Education has informed the provinces about the decisions of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) regarding reopening of educational institutions.
According to the details, the Ministry of Education has sent a copy of the decision to all provincial governments.
Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has also informed the Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir governments about the decisions of the NCOC.
Shafqat Mehmood said that the NCOC has decided to reopen schools across the country on September 15. Arrangements should be made to reopen the schools with precautionary measures against coronavirus while admin offices should be reopened from July 15.
The government will review the situation in the first and last week of August.
Earlier Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood chaired the Inter-Provincial Ministers of Education Conference in which it was decided to reopen educational institutions in September.
The meeting decided that situation of COVID 19 in the country will be reviewed before the opening of the educational institutions. Final approval will be sought from National Command Operation Center NCOC tomorrow.
All education ministers agree to open educational institutions in the first week of September. Educational institutions are also allowed to conduct examinations with SOPs.
