US dollar rate increases by Re50 to Rs283 on Oct 31

KARACHI: The exchange rate of the US dollar in open market increased by Re0.50 (50 paise), reaching Rs283.

Throughout the day, currency dealers were offering the rupee at Rs283 for selling and Rs280 for buying for their customers.

In the interbank market on the same day, the US dollar initially saw a rise of Re0.52 (52 paise) when trading began. However, by the end of the day, the dollar closed at Rs281.47 in the interbank market.

In contrast, the Euro remained stable at Rs298, the British pound held steady at Rs344, the UAE dirham experienced a decrease of 30 paise, settling at Rs79.20, and the Saudi riyal decreased by 40 paisa, reaching Rs75.50.
