Pakistani netizens erupt in anger and demand for justice, after a girl named Zoobia Meer posted a video on social media  showing her brother brutally beating their mother.

According to report,  #ZoobiaMeer trends on Twitter after Zoobia’s brother Arsalan beat his mother and sister.

Media reports said that argument took place because of money and property related issued that ended up with a son beating his own mother and sister while his wife just stood by and watched.

Soon after the incident took place,  Zoobi Ameer released a statement saying her brother took valuables including jewelry and cash that belonged to her sister and property papers.

She went on to say that despite launching a complaint with police they were refusing to take action and refused to register a First Information Report.

Later  Rawalpindi Police ensured that FIR has been registered and action is being taken accused who will be brought to justice according to the law.

Other Side of The Story

Taking a look at the other side of the story, Bisma (wife of Arsalan) also released her statement, claiming that her husband started beating his mother after he saw that his mother was beating his six months pregnant wife.

However, users on social media are demanding justice for Zoobia Meer and her mother, asking the authorities to punish the culprits.

Many of the users started to highlight the importance of mother comparing her to “Jannah” on earth.

Whereas many of the netizens shared sayings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) on the importance of mother.

Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi also shared his thoughts about the video.
