Sussex When police were called to a disturbance in Haywards Heath, they spotted sharks swimming around a Christmas tree.

Sharks were discovered swimming around a Christmas tree in a person’s living room, according to police.

Officers from Sussex Police were called to a property in Haywards Heath to investigate a disturbance, but instead discovered sharks swimming around a Christmas decoration in an eight-foot pool set up in the front room.

As per the Twitter post of Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor, “Just when you think you have heard it all!”

He added, “Team attended a premise over the weekend, only to discover an 8ft swimming pool in the front room.”

“In the swimming pool (apart from water) were small sharks swimming around and an artificial Christmas tree in the middle! I kid you not!”

One user joked in response to the social media post, “I bet their ‘Jaws’ dropped when they saw that.”

The housing association will be contacted by Sussex Police to check if tenants are permitted to keep sharks as pets.
