  • Neil shared that at one point, Katrina scolded him after a scene. flawed

Actors Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif delivered a memorable on-screen pairing in the 2009 film New York, but their off-screen relationship initially had a rough start. In a recent interview with On Public Demand by Filmygyan, Neil revealed that he and Katrina did not get along when they first met on set.

“Pehle din humari mulakat hui toh hum bilkul dost nahi, dushman ban gaye the. Pehla scene humara saath main ho raha tha aur ladayi pe ladayi. Har baat cut kiye ja rahi thi. Kuch na kuch problem tha toh main bhi pooche ja raha hoon ki problem hai kya?” Neil recalled, explaining how their first scene together was riddled with disagreements.

He further added, “Phir maaloon pada ki mere rang se kuch unko problem thi. Phir kisi kirdaar se, jis kisam se main usse kar raha tha. Toh kuch na kuch woh masti kar rahi thi mere saath aur main wahan pe bohot naraaz ho raha tha kyuki main aa raha tha ek intense Johnny Gaddaar se.”

Neil shared that at one point, Katrina scolded him after a scene, leading him to confront her. However, he later discovered that she wasn’t upset with him personally but was nervous about her performance, as she had mostly worked in comedy films before. Their misunderstandings were eventually cleared, and they developed a good rapport.

Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Yash Raj Films, New York also starred John Abraham and the late Irrfan Khan. Neil was last seen in Hisaab Barabar, now streaming on ZEE5.

Is ‘Like Jennie’ by BLACKPINK’s Jennie copied from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’?

Like Jennie
  • K-pop sensation Jennie announced her new song, Like Jennie.
  • Desi listeners quickly pointed out its striking similarity to Rani’s Theme.
  • Some fans expressed disbelief in the plagiarism allegations.

K-pop sensation Jennie, known for being a member of BLACKPINK, recently announced her new song, Like Jennie, which is set to release this Friday. On Tuesday, a 9-second teaser was shared on social media, receiving praise from fans. However, desi listeners quickly pointed out its striking similarity to Rani’s Theme from Karan Johar’s 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Jennie’s teaser features thumping beats and vocals chanting her name, which many listeners felt closely resembled the theme composed by Pritam. A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared Rani’s Theme in response to Like Jennie and wrote, “The copy-paste (crying emoji) she’s shameless.” Another added, “This is the same song, even the vocals are similar.”

Some fans expressed disbelief, given that Pritam himself has faced plagiarism accusations in the past. “I cannot believe Jennie is plagiarising Pritam, out of all. Bollywood out of all,” one tweet read. Another user wrote, “#BLACKPINK’s Jennie copied the song Rani Anthem from the movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani… in a way that sounds no different.”

However, some defended Jennie, suggesting Pritam might have sampled an older Korean song. “Pritam literally copied Pehli Nazar Me note for note from a Korean song. He probably did the same for this intro,” argued one user.

Jennie Kim debuted in 2016 as a BLACKPINK member and went solo in 2018 with Solo. She made her acting debut in 2023 under the name Jennie Ruby Jane in The Idol.

Pop icon Taylor Swift may soon transition from dominating music charts to making waves in Hollywood. According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the global superstar is actively exploring acting opportunities, particularly in the sci-fi and superhero genres.

Richtman shared the news, stating, “I hear Taylor Swift is going back to acting and trying to find the right project. She talked to studios about starring in a limited series for streaming and a big sci-fi film. Also a superhero role.”

For years, fans have speculated that Swift would be a perfect fit for Marvel’s Dazzler, a mutant singer with light-based powers. The rumors gained traction when she was spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs game in 2023 alongside Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

While she won’t appear in the upcoming Deadpool sequel, reports suggest she has since met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to discuss potential roles.

Comedian Samay Raina has been facing immense mental pressure after delet0ing all episodes of India’s Got Latent following multiple FIRs filed against him and the show’s makers. YouTuber Shwetabh Gangwar, a close friend of Samay, recently revealed that the comedian is struggling with the controversy.

In a now-deleted video, Shwetabh shared details of a phone call with Samay, stating, “Bhaisahab, toota hua hai vo insaan (He is a broken man). When the controversy first erupted, I could still see the old Samay in him, but when I spoke to him last time, I saw a broken man… depressed, sad, scared,” as reported by Free Press Journal. He further added that he took a social media break because he felt helpless. “I was emotionally drained. I couldn’t see my friend like that,” he said.

Samay, currently in Canada for live shows, has sought time until March 17 to return to India and record his official statement. During a recent performance, he joked about the controversy, as shared by a fan, Shubham Dutta, on Facebook. “Thanks for paying my lawyer’s fees,” Samay quipped to the audience. He also referenced Ranveer Allahbadia, saying, “Iss show pe bahut mauka ayega, jahan aapko lag sakta hai ki main bahut funny kuch bol sakta hoon, par tab BeerBiceps ko yaad kar lena bhai.”

Meanwhile, during a Supreme Court hearing on March 2, Justice Kant addressed remarks made by Samay during his Canada show without naming him. “These youngsters are being overly smart. They think we are probably an outdated generation. One of them has gone to Canada and spoken there. They don’t know the jurisdiction this Court enjoys and what can be done. When questioned about handling link-up rumors as a public figure, she explained, “Fans can connect you with anyone. We can’t stop them. When I work, I am linked to them (co-stars) too. They make edits and all. But I don’t give much importance to all this. If you like this, do it, but there is nothing like this.”

  • Her comments follow discussions about her recent blonde-haired look.
  • Netizens claimed her new appearance made her look older.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has spoken out against media outlets for scrutinizing her appearance, calling it “bullying” rather than journalism.

Brown’s comments follow widespread discussions about her recent blonde-haired look during promotional events for her upcoming Netflix film, The Electric State. Some publications and social media users claimed her new appearance made her look older.

In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, Brown criticized the media’s focus on her physical appearance. “The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing… This isn’t journalism. This is bullying. Let’s do better. Not just for me, but for every young girl who deserves to grow up without fear of being torn apart for simply existing,” she stated.

Reflecting on her experience growing up in the public eye, Brown added, “I started in this industry when I was 10 years old. I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me.”

She also pointed out how some expect her to remain the same as she did in Stranger Things Season 1. “They act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time… And because I don’t, I’m now a target,” she said, highlighting media headlines questioning her appearance.

Refusing to apologize for growing up, she declared, “I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman.”

Several actors, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Emma Caulfield, Enola Holmes co-star Louis Partridge, and Brazilian actor Kevin Vechiatto, expressed their support for Brown.
