Shilpa Shetty, during the upcoming episode of Super Dancer 4, spoke about women’s struggles and the power they have to fight in any situation. After seeing a performance inspired by Rani Laxmi Bai on Super Dancer 4, the actor opened up on women’s struggles in society.

Sony Entertainment Television’s Instagram account posted a video of the performance and her reaction to it. Shilpa gave her assessment on the performance, saying that when she listens to Laxmi Bai’s story, she sees a reflection of society.

“Every time I hear about Jhansi Ki Rani, I feel as if I can see the face of society, since women still have to struggle for their rights, after their spouses, for their own entity, and for their children.”

This narrative inspires us as women to fight, and she did so with her life. Shilpa described Jhansi ki Rani as “a superwoman.”

“This was reality, this is our history, and it makes me so happy to come from a country where women are so bold. My heart fills with pride that no matter what the situation, we women have that power that we can fight. To the women to fight for their rights, I pay my respect,” she added.

Shilpa returned to Super Dancer 4 just weeks after her husband Raj Kundra was arrested. In July, the businessman was arrested for his alleged involvement in a prostitution ring. He is suspected of being involved in the production and transmission of pornographic content via the Hotshots app. The actor is yet to share her reaction about the arrest but issued a statement requesting the media to spare her and her family from the public trial.
