In a bid to boost sales, the American electric vehicle and clean energy company Tesla has announced to export its China-made cars to Europe.

According to the details, the company said that the cars will be shipped to more than 10 countries, including, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Manufacturing director of the Shanghai site, Song Gang, in this regard said that “We hope to serve global customers as a global factory.”

“The export of China-built Tesla models is a key step in the global layout.” He added.

It should be noted that the Shanghai factory has helped Tesla expand in China’s electric car market, and the company has said it has the capacity to produce 200,000 vehicles per annum at the site.

Earlier Tesla said that it is now working on battery technology that will help it develop more affordable vehicles that can travel long distances on a single charge.

Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, said the technology could take years to develop.  Elon Musk had said that mass production of Tesla’s new battery technology would not start before 2022.
