Cement prices dip in Pakistan

In the recent week, Pakistan witnessed a decline in the retail price of cement, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

In the northern regions, the average retail price per sack of cement was Rs 1238, marking a 0.57% decrease from the previous week’s Rs 1246.

Similarly, in the southern regions, the average price recorded was Rs 1191 per sack, reflecting a marginal 0.07% decrease from the previous week’s Rs 1192.

The detailed breakdown for various cities reveals fluctuating prices, with Islamabad and Rawalpindi both at Rs 1216, Gujranwala at Rs 1260, Sialkot at Rs 1280, Lahore at Rs 1300, and Faisalabad at Rs 1260.

In the southern regions, Multan recorded Rs 1234, Bahawalpur at Rs 1250, Peshawar at Rs 1200, Bannu at Rs 1180, Karachi at Rs 1171, and Hyderabad at Rs 1180. These variations highlight the dynamic nature of cement prices across different regions of the country.
