The ongoing inflation woes continue for the public, as the new administration has opted to raise the petroleum levy on petrol and diesel in response to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) demands.

According to insiders, the Pakistani government is poised to hike petrol prices starting April 1, 2024.

Additionally, insiders suggest a strong likelihood of another increase in petrol prices shortly.

According to unofficial reports, the petrol price is expected to increase by Rs9.50, reaching around Rs289 for the first half of next month.
