KARACHI: Gold prices recorded a further increase in both international and local markets, while silver prices remained unchanged.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $15 per ounce, reaching $5,035.
In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1, 500 to reach Rs526, 262. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1, 286, settling at Rs451, 184.
Meanwhile, silver prices showed no change. The price of silver per tola remained stable at Rs8, 615, while the rate for 10 grams of silver also stayed unchanged at Rs7, 385.
Earlier, Gold prices across the country recorded a sharp increase of more than Rs5, 000 per tola.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of gold rose by Rs5,300 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs524,762 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs4, 544 to reach Rs449,898.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $53 to settle at $5,020 per ounce.
