PIA direct flight to London lands at Heathrow Airport after six years

PIA’ first flight PK-785 has successfully landed at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Pakistan International Airlines’ first flight PK-785 has successfully landed at London’s Heathrow Airport, marking an special moment for the national carrier and overseas Pakistanis.

The flight was warmly welcomed in London by Pakistan’s High Commissioner Dr Mohammad Faisal. Heathrow Airport was decorated with the flags of Pakistan and the United Kingdom to celebrate the arrival of the PIA flight. A simple but dignified ceremony was also organized on the occasion, where a special cake was cut to mark the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Pakistan’s High Commissioner described the resumption of the PIA flight as an important milestone. He said the return of the flight is very important for Pakistanis living in the UK and shows the strong connection between the two countries. He also added that the PIA flight represents the voice and wishes of the Pakistani people and should continue to grow in the future.

A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport also welcomed the airline and said that PIA has had a relationship with the airport for more than seven decades. The spokesperson added that they were very happy to see the airline return and described it as the return of an old friend.

The arrival of flight PK-785 is being seen as a positive step for PIA as it continues to restore its international operations and strengthen travel links between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
