KARACHI / ISLAMABAD: The Board of Directors of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Ltd. (PIACL) has approved a performance bonus equal to one month’s basic salary for airline employees during its 102nd board meeting, the first since the carrier’s transition to private management.
The strategic decision reflects the new leadership’s immediate priority to invest in human capital and align the workforce with the airline’s broader transformation and growth strategy.
Commenting on the decision, the management highlighted that the gesture aims to recognize the dedication of the staff while energizing teams for upcoming operational milestones, route revivals, and service enhancements.
“Our workforce is the backbone of PIACL’s revival,” the Chairman of the Board noted. “By prioritizing employee welfare and motivation from day one, we are building a foundation of excellence, accountability, and commercial viability to take the national flag carrier to new heights.”
