NED University announces 20 percent reduction in semester fees

On Tuesday, the Vice-Chancellor of NED University of Engineering and Technology, Dr Sarosh Hashmat Lodi announced a 20 percent reduction in students’ semester fees amid the Covid-19 pandemic. 

According to details, Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi also announced to put off hostel rent for students residing in the university’s hostels from all over the country.

In a statement, Sarosh Hashmat said,

“The administration announced relief for students despite knowing that varsity was going through a financial crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”

It is pertinent to mention here that on the previous Wednesday, students of different universities from across the country gathered outside the office of the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad demanding to waive off their full semester fee.

They also protested to stop online classes and promote students to the next semester without any examinations.
