Mac Miller’s death: Accused confesses to crime

A man has been arrested for allegedly being involved in the death of Mac Miller, an American rapper and producer.

A 28-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested and charged in connection with Mac Miller’s overdose death in September 2018.

Suspect Cameron confessed to his crime after he was interrogated.

According to federal court documents, Cameron James Pettit provided Miller, with counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl two days prior to his overdose.

Miller, whose real name is Malcolm McCormick, was found unresponsive in his Studio City home on Sept. 7, 2018.

The LA County Coroner’s Office later said that his death was determined to be an accident and was caused by a combination of fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol.

He started his journey in music as a teenager by putting out mixtapes in his native Pittsburgh.

In 2012, his first album, “Blue Slide Park,” became the first independent debut album to hit the top of the Billboard chart in more than 16 years. Miller was 19.

Miller dated high-profile pop star Ariana Grande from August 2016 to May 2018, according to reports.

Responding to online criticism following the split, Grande addressed his addiction issues as well.

He released 5 albums during his musical career.
