Junaid Jamshed’s being remembered today
Third death anniversary of legendary singer turned Naat Khawan Junaid Jamshed will be observed today.
7 December, 2016, he died in a horrible crash of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight PK-661.
He was born in Karachi on 3rd September, 1964. He had briefly worked as civilian contractor and engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before turning into a singer.
He was a lead singer of Band ‘Vital Signs’ which gained immense popularity during 80s, with their songs like ‘Aitebaar’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Dil Ki Baat’ Dil Dil Pakistan.
After graduating with a degree in engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Jamshed briefly worked as a civilian contractor and engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before focusing on a musical career.
In 2004, Junaid Jamshed left both his engineering and music careers and, afterwards, focused on his religious activities for Islam and reciting nasheeds on TV and releasing them on CD’s.
He also owned a popular clothing brand that has several outlets throughout Pakistan and abroad.
