American political activist Stacy Abrams is considered a superhero for her voting rights in Georgia. “Batwoman” star Javicia Leslie says Abrams has been very “supportive” of the series.
Leslie, 33, is the first black woman to appear in Batwoman. She told an international news source, “Shout out to Stacey Abrams! I think she’s going to love this season, and I hope we make her proud.”
Leslie also said that she would love to see Abrams appearing as a fictional character in DC movies.
“Let’s suit her up as a hero,” “That would be fun. A super-villain: I think we should go through the comics and find one we want to bring to Gotham and go ahead and suit her up.”
The Batwoman star also suggested that the show could surprise fans by keeping Abram’s identity a secret and “go awhile before we take off the mask and see that it’s her.”
Abrams is a former Georgia House Minority Leader and 2018 Democratic gubernatorial nominee who was significant in converting Georgia into a Blue State.
