A new historical Uzbek-Turkish joint TV series, Mendirman Jaloliddin, about the life of Jalaluddin Khwarazmshah has been premiered in Uzbekistan
The TV series is produced by ‘Dirilis: Ertugrul’ and ‘Kurulus: Osman’ producer Mehmet Bozdag. Since Mehmet announced the project, Pakistani fans have also been eagerly waiting for the historical TV series to air. Naseem Hijazi’s novel “Akhri Chatan” introduced a huge number of Pakistanis to Jalaluddin.
Users of social media in Pakistan were seen exchanging Facebook links with Urdu subtitles to Mendirman Jaloliddin’s first episode.
In the first episode, during a diplomatic mission sent by his father, Sultan Alauddin Khwarazmshah, Prince Jalaluddin meets Emperor Genghis Khan of Mangol.
Earlier, Adnan Siddiqui and Humayun Saeed had signed a deal with Dirilis: Ertugrul producer to promote both the countries’ entertainment industry.
Adnan took to his Instagram account and revealed that Tekdin Films, which is the name behind the hit series Ertugrul, will be working with Pakistan’s TRT Films
The Mere Pass Tum Ho actor wrote,
“As millennials say; “super stoked” to bring to you a partnership that transcends borders. Pakistan and Turkey have joined hands in a collaboration between Dr Kashif Ansari’s Ansari films, TRT films, and Mr. Kamal Tekdin’s Tekdin Films to usher in a fresh era in the Pakistani industry. The new venture has also got on board yours truly and Humayun Saeed as an extended arm, which means both of us will be taking care of all the pre, on-going, and post-production activities of this collaboration. For the uninitiated, Tekdin Films is the name behind the blockbuster Diriliş: Ertuğrul.”
