Do you know Meera Jee is still in the United States of America? The actress confirmed the news while speaking in an interview.
While talking to a local news channel, the Baaji actress expressed her disappointment with Pakistani media for publishing fake news that she had been admitted to a mental hospital and was asked to return to Pakistan immediately.
“There was another fake news that I have been asked to leave the United States of America. I am here in Houston today with showbiz promoter Rehan Siddiqui to work on at least three projects including a meet and greet session, Ramzan transmission and an acting project. I will be working in Houston for a month,” said Meera.
On the other hand, Rehan Siddiqui also confirmed that Meera will be working on different projects during her stay in Houston.
There were claims that Captain Naveed had paid a $50,000 bond for her bail from the mental hospital. To which Rehan Siddiqui added,
“This is baseless. Meera carries a US Green Card and there are no restrictions on her. Every news around this was false. We need to promote our artists and not put them down. Meera is a great talent and we should encourage her. I will be working on her with a few projects and that’s why I have invited her to Houston.”
It should be mentioned here that Meera’s mother Shafqat Zahra Bukhari said that on April 3, Meera called from the United States in a panic and told that she was admitted to a mental asylum.
Meera’s mother added she did not know who sent her daughter to the mental asylum adding that there are many people who are conspiring against her.
The mother of the actress had appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan to bring her daughter back home.
However, earlier Meera had denied the rumors circulating about her mental health and said that people should refrain from spreading such rumors about her.
