As the Taliban took control of Kabul, celebrities begged for Afghans’ protection

The Taliban have taken control of Kabul, leaving thousands of Afghans scrambling for a way out of the country.

As the news spreads, millions of Afghans are scared for their lives. People in Pakistan are praying for their neighbors and expressing their dismay at the country’s current situation.

Celebrities also took to social media to comment at the situation in Afghanistan.

It’s a dark day for Afghanistan today, wrote Churails star Sarwat Gilani. “Please pray for the safety of Afghan children and women!”

The viral videos of people swarming from the Kabul airport had a pit forming in model Zara Peerzada’s stomach.

She called them “a people abandoned, desperately trying to flee to some kind of safety. It’s a dark day for Afghanistan today, wrote Churails star Sarwat Gilani. “Please pray for the safety of Afghan children and women!”

RJ Sabah Bano Malik called on people to stand with Afghanistan and Kashmir the same way they stand with Palestine.
