According to reports, Michael Caine will appear in a film ‘Oppenheimer’ directed by Christopher Nolan. The movie is based on the life of theoretical physicist J Robert Oppenheimer. Cillian Murphy plays the lead in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie.

Michael Caine made headlines last week when he announced his impromptu retirement at the age of 88, but now the star’s agent is claiming that the reports are false and confirming that he is not retiring.

An online magazine reports that “Caine’s representatives assure that reports of his retirement are false.” While it is unclear where Michael stands on his retirement plans, for the time being, the actor is most likely to appear in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Oppenheimer, as he has appeared in every one of the director’s films since Batman Begins.

In a recent interview he explained, “Because I haven’t worked for two years and I have a spine problem which affects my legs so I can’t walk very well.”

He added, “And I also wrote a couple of books which were published and were successful, so I’m now not an actor, I’m a writer.”
