Will Smith reaches India “to practise yoga and meditation,” according to sources

After being banned from the Oscars for the next year for hitting Chris Rock on the stage of the 94th Academy Awards, Will Smith is apparently seeking spiritual direction.

After lying low after the notorious event that proved to be a major setback for his career, the Kind Richard actor was recently sighted at Mumbai airport.

The 53-year-old actor, according to People magazine, “travelled to India for spiritual purposes, to practise yoga and meditation.”

This happened after Smith said in his statement that he would “guarantee” that “violence never overtakes reason.”

“Chris, his family, many of my personal friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and worldwide audiences at home are among those I have injured.” “I broke the Academy’s confidence,” he said at the time.

“I want to refocus attention on those who deserve it for their achievements,” he said, “and enable the Academy to return to the tremendous job it does to foster innovation and artistry in cinema.”

“Change takes time, and I’m determined to putting in the effort to guarantee that violence never again triumphs over reason,” he continued.
