Nicki Minaj’s father’s killer has been sentenced to a surprising period of years in prison, leaving his wife ‘disappointed.’

The individual responsible for Nicki Minaj’s father’s death received a ‘disappointing’ prison sentence.

According to People magazine, the killer’s trial included a guilty testimony in which he acknowledged to fleeing the scene and hiding his car.

For those who are unaware, the hit-and-run occurred in February of 2021, and the man was apprehended a few days later.

Polevich, the accused, confessed to the murder and Acting State Supreme Court Justice Howard Sturim gave him a plea agreement that included “I’ll sentence you to no more than a year in jail” and a couple years of community service.

Polevich faced over 11 years in prison previously, but Carol Maraj, Nicki’s mother and Maraj’s wife, is ‘not happy’ with his decision, admitting, “I’m not happy with that… one year in jail. I’m not happy with that.”
