Saba Qamar, a Pakistani actress, has never disappointed with her performances. Whether it was her time on Ready Steady Go as a political satirist or her recent role in Ghabrana Nahi Hai.

Now she says she’d like to play Maryam Nawaz as well.

While Mehwish Hayat is getting a lot of attention for her role as Benazir Bhutto, Saba Qamar has also expressed interest in playing a politician. In an interview with ‘The Chay Show,’ the Hindi Medium star revealed that, while she would prefer to play Benazir Bhutto, she is open to playing Maryam Nawaz, Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).

“I would love to play a politician on screen! … I think we can make a brilliant biopic on Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. I am also willing to play Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the big screen. I feel I can do justice to it.”

“I’m looking forward to playing a politician because their lives have so many facets.” They are someone else when they interact with the public, someone else when they are at home with their families, and someone else when they are with their peers. It’s enthralling. Politicians are just like actors. So I believe it is relatable.”
