On Friday, boy band Seventeen released their fourth full-length album, ‘Face the Sun,’ revealing a desire to become as “hot” as the sun in the K-pop industry. The album is the band’s first studio album in two years and eight months, following the release of its last EP, ‘Attacca,’ in October 2021.

According to Yonhap News Agency, band leader S. Coups remarked during a press conference to commemorate the release, “I believe it will be a noteworthy record.”

“It feels amazing to be a band with four full albums under our belt.” “I believe we were able to release the fourth LP because of you, CARATs,” he remarked, referring to the band’s worldwide fan base.

‘Confront the Sun,’ according to Mingyu, truthfully shows Seventeen’s aim to be a significant presence like the sun, as well as its strong determination to face all difficulties on the trip with bravery and move forward.

There are nine tracks on the album, all of which are sung by the members as a group, with no solo or unit numbers.

The band’s aim to establish a presence as hot as the sun is expressed in the primary song, “Hot,” which blends hip-hop with western guitar tones.

Seventeen is a dancing group that debuted in 2015 and is recognised for its perfectly synchronised dance techniques as well as its ability to produce, compose, and arrange its own music. It is currently one of the most popular K-pop groups, with recent albums selling more than 1 million copies.

Preorders for the fourth album have surpassed two million copies, a new high for the band. It surpassed 1.41 million copies for the band’s previous release and ninth EP, ‘Attacca,’ as the most preordered record from Seventeen.
