The Essex Serpent Twitter Review: Fans praise Tom Hiddleston’s new series

Following the premiere of the highly anticipated gothic Victorian horror series The Essex Serpent, people have been praising the eerie but artistic complexity of the programme all over the internet.

Cora sails off with her son, Caspar Griffiths, and her maid, Martha, played by Hayley Squires, without comprehending what is in store for her. Her obsession with sea serpents causes her to clash with the townspeople, who believe the serpent is a divine punishment.

While the residents of the town descend into disorder due to their dread of the snake, Tom Hiddleston’s vicar Will is the one who calms them down. Cora and Will also tread carefully around an odd friendship that develops between them.
