Nicole Kidman knows how to take a fashion risk.

The actress, 54, opened out about wearing the iconic Miu Miu micro-mini skirt on the cover of Vanity Fair’s 2022 Hollywood Issue when in chat with Baz Luhrmann for Vogue Australia’s June Issue, hitting newsstands Monday.

Kidman informed Luhrmann, 59, that she “showed up” on the photoshoot set and that Vanity Fair had a different dress ready for her. However, she noticed the Miu Miu outfit and inquired whether it was an option. “‘No, no, I like this one!’ I exclaimed. Is it okay for me to wear that?’ “She recalled something.

The Bewitched star added that the query spurred stylist Katie Grand — whom Kidman hailed as “fantastic” — to double-check that she had heard the star correctly.

“Katie was like ‘You’re willing to wear that?!’ And I said, ‘Wear it?! I’m begging you to wear it!’ ” Kidman revealed.

Hailey Bieber, Emma Corrin, and Zendaya have all been spotted in the micro mini and belted bralette ensemble, which has sparked a lot of buzz in the business.

The daring two-piece was originally seen on the runway in Milan last October, designed by Miuccia Prada for the spring/summer 2022 collection. The chino skirt, which appears to be a tribute to the Y2L low-rise style, is so short that the whites of the pockets peek out from beneath the hemline.

The 2022 Hollywood Issue of Vanity Fair was published in February of this year. Other cover stars included Idris Elba, Penélope Cruz, Kristen Stewart, and Benedict Cumberbatch, in addition to Kidman.

Simu Liu, Andrew Garfield, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez were among the other A-listers who graced the covers.

The two performers reflected on their time working on the 2001 musical Moulin Rouge! and their friendship over the years in an interview for Vogue Australia.

The two also talked about Luhrmann’s impending Elvis biopic and Kidman’s home in Nashville, Tennessee, where she resides with her husband Keith Urban and their two girls.
