The parents of Shanaya Kapoor are Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor. In 2020, she made her directorial debut in Bollywood with the movie Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

Shanaya will make her acting debut in Bedhadak, directed by Karan Johar, playing the part of Nimrit. The first round of filming is expected to begin on the project next year. She will appear in the movie with Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya. She shared the information and her first movie look on Instagram in March. “I am extremely grateful and humbled to join the Dharma Family with #Bedhadak – directed by the brilliant Shashank Khaitan. I can’t wait to kickstart this journey, I need all your blessings and love,” she captioned the post.
