Dulquer Salmaan has become one of the most in-demand actors in Indian cinema thanks to his powerful performances in some critically acclaimed and financially successful movies. The talented actor has made a conscious decision to never get stuck in a comfort zone and has been constantly redefining himself as an actor with some promising projects. In Srinath Rajendran’s blockbuster movie Kurup, which came out in 2021, Dulquer Salmaan played his first full-fledged bad guy. When Kurup turned one, Dulquer wrote a sweet note on his official social media accounts.

The actor and producer posted pictures of himself in Kurup costume that had never been seen before. “We are celebrating #Kurup’s first year! The biggest game changer for us at Wayfarer Films. A movie that gave us the guts and courage to believe in our dreams today.”

Dulquer Salmaan praised his cast, crew, and fans. “I’d like to thank our amazing cast, our hard-working crew, and everyone who helped make Kurup happen. And most of all to the people who watched the movie all over the world and gave it so much love. Anish Mohan from @mstarentertainments deserves a shout-out for being rock solid and there for us when things were hard. ”

Kurup is Dulquer Salmaan’s second collaboration with filmmaker Srinath Rajendran after Second Show. Sobhita Dhulipala made her Malayalam debut with the movie. Supporting actors were Indrajith Sukumaran, Shine Tom Chacko, Sunny Wayne, Saiju Kurup, and Vijayaraghavan. Anupama Parameshwaran and Tovino Thomas appeared. Songs and score by Sushin Shyam. Kurup was released in five Indian languages by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films and M Star Entertainments.
