Kanye West’s legal battle reached a breaking point for the latter, as the judge rejected their attempt to inform the rapper via newspaper ads that they would no longer represent him.

According to Reuters, Judge Analisa Torres denied the lawyers from Greenberg Traurig’s plea to formally sever all relations with West at this time.

More evidence was needed, the federal judge continued, before Greenberg could approve the newspaper advertisements.

She also recommended hiring “private investigators” to find the celebrity.

The judge gave the firm until February 15 to effectively serve Kanye with notice or to present stronger evidence to support the publication proposal.

While the judge is still not persuaded, the legal firm defended the action by asserting that it “exhausted all methods” of contacting West.

Judge Torres stated in his ruling, “The court finds that GT has not produced sufficient facts to justify its determination that personal service is impractical. “GT’s most recent efforts… do not suggest diligent efforts at trying to locate Ye,” said the report.

Since the disgraced rapper has a history of openly supporting anti-Semitism, Greenberg has been attempting to contact him for months to let him know that he will no longer be represented by its lawyers.

The legal team’s withdrawal was already accepted by Judge Torres.

However, lawyers must personally serve clients in a personal capacity with a proper notice of withdrawal in accordance with federal litigation laws and professional conduct guidelines.

The star had previously been accused by the legal firm of engaging in “deliberate avoidance and obstruction,” which included firing his former agents and switching his phone number. Greenberg’s attorneys requested earlier this month to be allowed to notify him via letter or to simply put the notification in public publications in response to this obstruction.

The Greenberg attorneys argued in their unprecedented request that “Given Ye’s public profile, publication of the withdrawal order will certainly receive significant media interest, resulting in widespread exposure and create an even greater possibility of apprising Ye of the Order.”
