Sakura, a member of the K-pop girl group Le Sserafim, recently discussed how life in South Korea and Japan are very different from one another.

One of the two Japanese members of the K-pop group, Sakura, spoke about how life was different in South Korea in a web series created by GOT7 member BamBam.

The star described how South Korea was faster-paced than her native country: “At first, I wasn’t used to doing things very fast. In Japan, I lived in the countryside (Fukuoka). I am used to doing things in a relaxed way.”

She continued by citing the example of constantly hitting elevator buttons while in Japan “people barely press the button” as evidence that the fast-paced lifestyle had rubbed off on her.

She acknowledged that both tranquil and fast-paced living has advantages and disadvantages, but she was better suited to live in Korea.

Sakura has quite an unusual career background because, up until 2018, she was a member of the Japanese idol group HKT48.

She later gave an audition for the South Korean reality competition Produce 48 and made her debut in the short-lived group IZ*ONE. She had one final debut after the group split up in Le Sserafim.
