Bill Murray made an appearance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2023 alongside The Fabelmans actress Jeannie Berlin.  In order to attend SAG-annual AFTRA’s actor-focused awards ceremony on Sunday, actors Murray, 72, and Berlin, 73, who plays Hadassah Fabelman in director Steven Spielberg’s autobiographical coming-of-age film, arrived together at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Although Everything Everywhere All at Once won awards for its ensemble cast, including lead actress Michelle Yeoh, supporting actor Ke Huy Quan, and supporting actress Jamie Lee Curtis, Berlin and the rest of The Fabelmans cast were nominated for best ensemble performance in a motion picture. At the 2013 ceremony, Murray showed a clip of the actress’ performance and described May as “perhaps the most attractive, intellectual lady I have ever had the pleasure to work with, who saved my life on multiple occasions professionally.”

Murray most recently made an appearance in the 2022 movie The Biggest Beer Run Ever with Zac Efron as well as the most recent Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor attended the Feb. 6 Los Angeles premiere of the Ant-Man sequel. After being accused of wrongdoing on the set of the Aziz Ansari-directed movie Being Mortal, which resulted in a permanent suspension on the project, the Lost in Translation actor has been under fire throughout the past year.

Since those allegations were made, other actors have publicly recalled uncomfortable past interactions with Murray. In October, Seth Green alleged that the Golden Globe winner dangled him over a trashcan on the set of Saturday Night Live when he was only 9 years old, while Geena Davis recalled multiple negative interactions with the actor when they worked on the 1990 movie Quick Change.
