The first-degree murder of American rapper XXXTentacion, who was shot and killed in a robbery in Florida in 2018, has been done by three men.

According to a New York Times report, a jury in Florida ended its week-long deliberations on Monday by finding Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Trayon Newsome responsible for the first-degree murder and armed robbery of a person. The three attackers are required to serve life terms after the government decided not to seek the death penalty in this case.

XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was 20 years old and in the prime of his contentious career when he passed away. On June 18, 2018, Boatwright and Newsome shot him and murdered him as he tried to leave a motorcycle shop in Florida. They then stole $50,000 in cash, with Williams allegedly serving as the getaway driver.

Allen’s testimony supported the prosecution’s claim that the group had been preparing to rob people that day and just happened to run into Onfrony at the store because they were there to buy ski masks.

The rapper’s BMW was stopped by an SUV according to surveillance footage played in court, and two masked assailants vigilantly approached Onfroy’s vehicle after blocking the exit, starting the fight for the rapper’s bag of cash. When the altercation began, the other passenger in the car with Onfroy immediately escaped.
