Rising star Hamza Sohail is gearing up to make his debut on Netflix with a new romantic comedy. As reported by a local entertainment publication, Sohail, son of veteran actor-comedian Sohail Ahmed, is set to take on his second OTT project following Zee5’s Mrs. & Mr. Shameem, and his first with the global streaming giant.

Sohail, known for his role in Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, will write and star in the romantic comedy. While specifics about the female lead and the production team are still under wraps, the show is expected to start filming next year and will be shot extensively in Canada.

Fans and industry colleagues have expressed their excitement and congratulations for Sohail’s new venture. On the acting front, Hamza Sohail was last seen in the successful drama serial Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, where he starred alongside Iqra Aziz and was directed by debutant Fajr Raza.
