Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has officially changed her surname to include her husband’s name, Ranbir Kapoor, two years after their marriage. This change was highlighted recently when Bhatt introduced herself as ‘Alia Bhatt Kapoor’.

Bhatt and Kapoor, who wed in April 2022, welcomed their daughter Raha Kapoor later that year. This marks the first time Bhatt has used the combined surname publicly.

The name change became a topic of discussion on the show where Bhatt corrected the host when he referred to her as ‘Alia Bhatt.’ She responded, “It’s Alia Bhatt Kapoor,” emphasizing her new name.

The episode will also feature Ranbir Kapoor and his mother, Neetu Kapoor. Alia Bhatt is set to promote her new film, “Jigra,” which co-stars Vedang Raina.

Additionally, she and Ranbir Kapoor will reunite on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love And War,” although its release has been postponed from Christmas 2025 to March 20, 2026.

Bhatt’s upcoming projects include “Alpha,” where she stars alongside Sharvari Wagh as super agents. Meanwhile, “Jigra” is scheduled to hit theaters on October 11.
